Following my class with parents this afternoon, they have expressed their desire to see an RSS feed button available in your blogs. For those of you who rely on the blog for communicating with your students, if applicable, you can watch the following video that shows how to add an RSS button that parents can use to subsbribe to your blog. I have to acknowledge the fact that some teachers are already using some form of RSS feed option via a button or entries/comments RSS text links.
EdTech has installed a plugin called "1-Click ReTweet/Share/Like" which adds Facebook Like, Facebook Share, Twitter, Google +, Linkedln Share, Facebook Recommendations. This plugin provides automatic publishing to content to 30+ social networks.
RSS feeds are very important as they provide an opportunity to send information to people that subscribe to them. Parents are learning to set up an efficient system to keep track of their children's education in the MS. Let's make it easier for them.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
