In Fusion 360, the Model Workspace is selected by default. However sometimes you will want to have more freedom and you may need to go into the Sculpt environment. In this short post, you will see the differences between these two.
We start by creating a box and cylinder in the Model Workspace like the ones below.
Now, click on the Create Form option (as seen below):
Notice that there is a new Sculpt Workspace above Model.
The drawing environment changes as well.
Create a new box using the Box option under Create.
Notice the difference?
To modify the body let's select 2 faces from the top. Hold down the Shift key to select multiple faces. Select Modify from the Toolbar and then Edit Form. Now drag these manipulators to dramatically change the shape of the body.
Using arrows you can increase faces and edges and points that make up the T-Spline form.
To do all this in the Model Workspace would be much more difficult. To return to the Model Workspace we can click on Finish Form.
Down in the Timeline, you can see the three bodies that we have created.
