Exploring Fusion 360 with Beginner Videos from YouTube

For those of you beginning to use Fusion 360, I recommend the Fusion 360 for Beginners YouTube tutorials. They take you from the basics of Workspaces and Navigation, Modeling With Basic Primitives, Intro to Modeling With Sketches, all the way to Modeling With Features and Editing Modeled Features. Just 7 short tutorials.

Let's begin by adding a Primitive such as a Box.

Pay attention to the Tool Tips and see what it tells you. For example, if you want to put a box somewhere, you will see a tool tip with the message "select a plane or planar face".

If you want enter numbers for the dimensions.

Click on the arrows to resize dynamically or enter values in the boxes.

Remember to press "Enter" when you are done. We've created a very simple body. There's our first design.

When dragging the Primitive arrow, move up to add material (gray) and move down to remove/snap/cut material (red).
