POV-Ray and Sketchup

It was interesting to use these tools. I must say that POV-Ray proved to be more flexible that Sketchup, when using shapes to draw. However, the former tool requires more time to investigate the functions and programming constructs that can be used to make your work look more professional.

POV-Ray

This is my drawing using POV-Ray. I actually wanted to draw the character Stingo from Fifi and the Flowertots, which I love watching with my 3 year old daughter.

But I actually ended producing this other image of My Stingo:

Sketchup

At the beginning, I found it hard to decide what to draw. This is true for the POV-Ray drawing too. As I was thinking, my phone rang and then I got the idea. So, I came up with a drawing of my mobile phone:

This is how it ended up looking using Sketchup.

Miguel,

Wow...great job on both assignments! Your POV-RAY source code is also so pretty: nicely commented and tidy., I also saw you were declaring variables within the main source code, which I have not yet learned to do. Can't tell you how much looking over your code and that of others helps me learn this application! I am going to stick with it! thanks.
