Days 9 - 10: Expositions to Students and Parents

On the last two days, the students presented their work to other peers in the Summer Program. We also invited parents to see how their children had worked during the course of the two weeks. On the first day of our expo we had Mr. Jerome Bank's class come to visit us at 09:35 am. Abhishek's parents and sister were also present that morning. We had little time so I was acting as host and showing people what students had done in terms of the First Lego League Competition challenges and the Sumobot challenge.

On our second day, we decided that students were going to do all the presentation. We received the visit of many parents and the classes of Dr. Laura Everett and Ms. Paula Jones. We started out with Allan and Pete presenting the work. In the meantime we had Dr. Bill Gerritz and former student Jake join us via Skype to watch the class during their presentations. JiWan repeated his excellent presentations for both challenges and gave his classmates the possibility to test their robots on the fields. We had Allan, Ben, Austin, Worawat, and Pete taking turns on the FLL mat. For the Sumo challenge we had manual and autonomous demos. Abhishek was our referee during the sumo presentations. After their demos, students gave other guests the opportunity to test the robots in manual mode.

Thanks for all the hard work dear students. What a great way to end the course!
