Day 8: The Engineering Design Process and FLL Core Values

Today students learned about the relationship among Science, Engineering, and Technology. We also discussed about the steps of the Engineering Design Process and how that impacted on each one of them. During the course of the following days students will work intensively in teams under the guidance of an adult mentor. Groups will be given rounds of 20 minutes to work and then reconvene for a briefing session of 3 minutes to share what each one is up to and how they expect to continue for the next 20 minutes. Students need to understand that friendly competition and mutual gain are not separate goals, and that helping one another is the foundation of teamwork.
